Why is Blitzkrieg a tactic?

Tatic: the specific actions or steps you undertake to accomplish your strategy.

  • An offensive strategy
  • Disorganization of opponents by breaking through their defense line
  • Dislocation of opponents through concentrated firepower

Origins of the Blitzkrieg Tactic

  • Introduced by Prussians
  • First used in WWII by the Nazis to take Poland and in the Spanish Civil War
  • Full frontal attack--Obliterate the enemy with everything you have
  • Extremely quick and efficient--importance of communication
