My Christian World View Summary

  • Past: Creation, Fall of Man, Redemption through Jesus Christ
  • Present: Freedom to choose in U.S. and current concerns
  • Future: The second coming of Christ and discussion of hell

The Christianity Past: Creation

Irreducity Complex Theory (Mouse Trap Theory)

What Evolution ideas lead too- the fittest will survive

  • The value of life is based on perfomance
  • In recent history- Nazi fully implemented the evolution theory for a "master race"

What Creation ideas lead too- everybody is treated as God's creation

  • The value life is based on God's unique creation

The Christianity Past: Fall of Man

The Christianity Past: Summary

  • Genesis 3:5 shows the fall of man with the basic fact that human origin of sin is through elevating ourselve above God.
  • Sin is not a subjective, it is black or white issue.
  • Since the fall of man, we all inherent a sinful nature.
  • Colossians 3:5, "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry."

  • 1. Creation
  • 2. Fall of Man
  • 3. Redemption of Jesus

The Christianity Past: Redemption Through Jesus Christ

  • My world view on Jesus is I fully believed that He lived, died and rose from the grave conquering sin and death.
  • The legitimacy of Jesus Christ comes from outside sources:
  • 1. Tacitus (Roman senator)- Reffers to Jesus Execution
  • 2. Jewish (Josephus)- Antiquities of the Jews follows the historical events of Jesus Christ.
  • New Convient Hebrew 9:15, "15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant."

Secularism in Science

Definition Secularism: Secularism is a belief system that rejects religion, or the belief that religion should not be part of the affairs of the state or part of public education. The principles of separation of church and state and of keeping religion out of the public school system are an example ofsecularism.

Charles Darwin was the author for evolution with his publication of On the Origin of Species in 1859.

The evolutionary theory is based on Natural Selection. "the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring."

The case that defined creation science as not as a Science is in McLean vs Arkansas Board of Education. (National Center for Science Education)

Homosexuality (Gender Definiton)

Christianity in the Present

Homosexuality

My worldview in the present, "Freedom to chose but the choice should not restrict other people's freedom."

My worldview in the U.S. and issues Christianity face in U.S.

  • Secularism in Science
  • Homosexuality (Gender definition)
  • Abortion

This originally started with the supreme court ruling in Obergefell vs. Hodges where Obergefell overturned Baker and requiring all states to issue a marriage licsense to same-sex couples.

In Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis denies a couple from getting a marriage licsense saying it is voilating her "religious objections" to same sex marriage

My Opinion on this matter: people should free choose whatever lifestyle if it doesn't restricted other peoples choice.

Government Agencies purpose to protect peoples freedom and to uphold the laws established. The county clerks need to realize there responsiblities.

If homosexual community approaches a church for marriage and is denied, they need to realize what they asking is conflict of of morality.

Abortion

My personal belief is abortion is the last resort and should not be allowed unless medical complication. I understand my bias as a man is that I will never become pregnant.

The basis of my belief is that God creates human life from the second inception. Abortion in my opinion is destroying God's creation. Although mistakes are made that results in pregnancy, God creation is not a mistake and should not be treated as one.

Current laws in abortion is based on a case in 1973 decisions in Roe vs. Wade constructed a lattice work of abortion law, codifying, regulating ad limiting whether, when and what circumstances a woman may obtain an abortion.

Here are some of the laws for the court case:

  • Physician and Hospital Requirement.
  • Partial Birth
  • Refusal
  • Parental Involvement
  • Waiting Periods (All from http://www.guttmacher.org/statecenter/spibs/spib_OAL.pdf)

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Christianity in the Future

What are some things Christianity will have to face in the future?

  • The second coming of Jesus Christ
  • What does hell look like?

Timing: No one will know "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come." (NIV, Mark 13:32-33)

How will we know? There are specific signs Revelation of things that will happen, but it will every tongue will confess that he is Lord.
