Magat killed the crocodile when suddenly saw his wife on the bed instead of the crocodile. Slowly life ebbed his wife. On her beautiful skin, scales appeared, as she turned into crocodile.
CLIMAX
Magat broke his promise, at noon he went to see his wife but instead he saw a crocodile lying into his wife's bed.

EXPOSITION
A long time ago, there lived in Bayombong a tall, handsome man called Magat. He was young and strong-willed hunter. One day he came upon the largest stream and there he saved a beautiful maiden from the python who is about to attack the beautiful woman. The next moment, under the spell of nature Magat asked the woman to be his wife.
The Gaddangs are the original native inhabitants of Bayombong. This legendary story included in the reading list for the course recounts the etiology of the Magat River which flows through Nueva Vizcaya to Isabela Province.
