CPR TRAIL

Port Moody

Craigellachie

Craigellachie, a locality by Eagle Pass, BC, is the ancestral home of the first president of the CPR, Sir George Stephen. It is also the site in which the symbolic last spike of the railway was driven by Donald Smith in late 1885. As of 2011, the small community was occupied by only 1335 residents, a majority of which are aged 50-60. Despite it's modest and unassuming size, Craigellachie is considered a symbol of Canadian national unity by many, thanks to it's role as the location of the final spike in the CPR. It marks the end of four years of scandal and financial shit

Port Moody is a city in British Columbia, B.C. This city is named after Colonel Richard Clement Moody who was the first lieutenant governor of B.C. and a Royal Engineer. This small city garnered attention when it was revealed that it would be the terminus station for the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1879. This proposal was to interest British Columbia into joining Confederation. Because the city was well known after the sudden news, the land around the area jumped up in value.

The first transcontinental passenger train that traveled from Montreal arrived in Port Moody on July 4th, 1886. However, the popularity of this town ended abruptly when bitch ass William Van Horne decided to relocate the terminus station further west to Vancouver.

Churchill

Churchill is a town on Hudson Bay in the far north of Manitoba, Canada.
