Goals should be straightforward and

emphasize what you want to happen.

Specifics help us to focus our efforts

and clearly define what we are going to do.

Your goal should be such that when you are through you have some tangible evidence of completion.

When you identify goals that are most important to you, you begin to figure out ways you can make them come true.

Don't plan to do things if you are unlikely to follow through. Better to plan only a few things and be successful rather than many things and be unsuccessful. Success breeds success!

Set a time frame for the goal. Putting a deadline on your goal. This gives you a clear target to work towards.
