Total time of attack was less than 7 minutes.

Police arrived to the scene in less than 90 seconds from the first 911 call.

James Holmes is currently awaiting trail.

Two handguns, used one, shot and severely wounded,At the time of his sentencing he became only the 6th person on military death row.

1330 A U.S soldier, dressed in army uniform, enter the Soldier Readiness Center, armed with two non-military issue pistols, including a semi-automatic.

Over a period of about 10 minutes he kills 12 soldiers and one civilian and injures 30 other people.

Military police and civilian officers of the Department of the Army return fire.

Total time of attack less than 10 minutes.

• Shooters range in age from their teens to sixties.
• Shooters are black, hispanic, white, and asian.
• Shooters are both male and female.
• Many commit suicide or die in shoot-outs with police.
• Some exhibit warning signs, some don't.
• Some have motives, while others seem to just "snap".
• Most incidents occur at work or in school, but have been known to occur in restaurants, church, parties and other places.

Primary target was Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

Subdued by a 74 year old retired Soldier while reloading.

Police and rescue squad personnel arrived to the scene in less than 5 minutes from first 911 call.

Jared L Loughner was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

ANDREW KEHOE, 55 yrs. old

Planted dynamite and pyrotol in basement of school and used a rifle.

Angered after his defeat in Spring 1926 election of town clerk, higher taxes for school's construction, the impending foreclosure on his farm, and the illness of his wife.

Used a timed detonator to ignite hundreds of pounds of dynomite and incendiary pyrotol, which he had secretly planted inside the school for many months.

Many more could have perished however the south wing did not detonate due to a short in the wire.

During rescuse efforts, as rescuerers began working, stopped, and used a rifle to detonate dynomite inside his shrapnel-filled truck, killing himself, school super-intendent and several others nearby

2012 Sandy Hook Elementary, Connecticut

Rifle reloaded several times, committed suicide as police arrived on scene.

9:30 am Lanza approached the school. Unable to enter he shot a window in order to gain entrance to the main office.

9:35:39 First 911 call to Newtown Police Department is recieved.

9:39:00 First Newtown police officer arrives behind the school.

9:39:13 Two move newtown officers arrive at S.H.E. gunshots are heard in the background

9:41:03 Last gunshot is heard. This is believed to be the final suicide shot from the shooter in classroom 10

9:44:47 Newtown officers enter S.H.E.S

Targeted athletes, both shooters committed suicide as police entered.

12:06 Team of 5 officers enters Columbines southeast doors.

12:08 Klebold and Harris kill themselves.

12:39 Jeffeson county Sheriff's mobile command bus is on scene and activated.

1:09 SWAT team breaks an outside window to gain entrance into the teachers' lounge. The team is met with deafening noise of fire alarms, the flash of strobe lights, ceiling tiles hanging at odd angles and three inches of water from the sprinkler system.

Committed suicide as police entered the building.

7:15 am Police respond to a 911 call that two people have been shot at West Ambler Johnston Dorm.

9:26 am Second attack begins at Norris Hall.

Approx. 9:40-9:51 am Cho begins shooting in Room 206 in Norris Hall. Campus police respond to a 911 call about a shooting at Norris Hall. On arrival they find the front doors have been chained shut from the inside.

9:51 am Upon hearing the shotgun blast to a door by police Cho shot himself in the head just as police reached the second floor.

*Cho's shooting spree at Norris Hall lasted approx. 11 minutes. He fired 174 rounds, and killed 30 people in Norris Hall plus himself, and wounded 17.
