-in charge of country wide tasks, like military, law, currency, ect.

-Prime Minister leads governing party in Ottawa House of Parliament

-holds House of Commons where bills are introduced and debated

Made of senators appointed by GG and PM

-includes Gov. General, Prime Minister, and Cabinet who are elected by PM and GG

-MPs devided into parties that oppose the governing party with the most seats

-Handles sensitive issues that HOC cant

-Gives a formal assent over the bill after HOC before a bill becomes law

Multiple readings are done to debate the bill before sent to the senate

-Can intoduce new bills which are sent to the cabinet to interpret

-Made of a town council, Mayor or chair, and councilors

-Premier instead of Prime Minister, Lieutenant Governor instead of Governor General

-Only 1 house called legislature, no senate

-Pass bylaws and local issues like roads, sewage, water, police, parks, property, ect.

-handles education, health care, welfare, transportation, and other province specific issues
