His struggles and hardships, and his triumphs

Max Garcia was forcibly put in a train, stripped of his belongings and given the number 139829. He was very fortunate not to be gassed.

Below is a picture of where Max Garcia was forced to work in the camps. Then as the Russians drew nearer

he was sent to a sub camp called KZ Ebensee.

Once the war ended Max

became enthused with the

idea of working for the U.S.

He became a interpreter.

Then through hard work and dedication Max got the job of working for counter intelligence and helped take out nazis who worked for the ss.

His best selling book

It is a gripping tale of life in Auschwitz where Max Garcia seen and faced horrible events, but stuck through it to see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak and survived.

A Holocaust survivor and his story. Max Garcia was born in Amsterdam in 1924, then his family moved to Holland in 1939, and in 1940 by no fault of his own he was being sent to Auschwitz a German death camp.
