The robot is designed to detect and defuse Improvised Explosive Devices or inspect strange packages or suit cases.

What does Daksh Do?

The Work Envelope of the Daksh

  • The arm of the Daksh robot has 6 joints for its movement
  • The Daksh is used in small spy and control missions
  • Used for the military

The Daksh investigates mysterious materials such as a brief case. The Daksh can defuse a bomb using its water jet disruptor.

Is the robotic end effector multi-functional?

Yes it does. The Daksh has a shotgun that can open locked doors or damage enemy items in war.

Some are remotely controlled and operated. Some are programed to do it's tasks.

Daksh is equipped with a radiation measurement to monitor the unwanted material level in surroundings.

Advantages- One advantage is it puts humans out of harms way. Another is that the robot makes a lot less mistakes than a human

Disadvantages- The robot might break down in the middle of the operation. It costs a lot of money to replace all of the people with these robots.
