My name is Myles. In Latin my name means soldier. In Irish it means servant. It means merciful, it means protecting. It’s kind of rare. Everywhere I go there’s only a small chance someone will have the same name. Nobody in my family has this name so I'm OG. There’s a guy with the same name as me named Myles Standish, an English military officer hired by the pilgrims as a military advisor and protector of the Plymouth Colony. Myles Standish seems like somebody cool to meet. I would’ve liked to meet him, to bad he’s dead. He was took part in the colonization of the Americas and he was even the first Governor of the Plymouth Colony. He led dangerous expeditions to find more land for the growing population; he also went on an expedition on my birthday, which is pretty legit. In camp natives attacked them, but nobody was killed or injured, which makes him a fantastic military leader, a true soldier. My middle name is Aaron. It is a Hebrew name that means 'Aharon, meaning High Mountain. Not a lot of people know it because when people ask I always forget. I never use it, except on exams. I like it though, it’s not crazy, it’s kind of average.
All throughout my childhood I would ask my parents what does my name mean, nobody in my school has the same name as me. They told me it comes from the Angel soldier Michael, meaning soldier of light. For a period of time I told people to start calling me that so they how cool I was. It didn’t last.
I wouldn’t ever want to change my name. I like it the way it is. Its creative and classy, just like me. And that makes me OG.
