Norway,

Imagine visiting the Country where Vikings came from. Massive Beards and pointy horned helms. (Actually Historically Vikings did not have Horned helms.) Either way, i would love to visit cold Scandinavian country.

Nidaros Cathedral is a Church of Norway cathedral located in the city of Trondheim. This church was built over a former king of Norway in the 11th century, his name is saint olav. (Pictures one and two.)

Akershus Fortress or also called Akershus Castle, is a medieval castle that was built to protect Oslo, the capital of Norway. It has also been used as a prison. (Picture 3.)

The Royal Palace in Oslo, it is the official residence of the present Norwegian monarch. Fun fact! The palace has 173 rooms. (Picture 4.)

Other Noticeable things to do in Norway are to visit the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. And on a more fun note, to visit the Tusenfryd amusement park. Norsk Folkemuseum is a museum with amazing collections of many social groups and from many regions around the country. While Tusenfryd is an amusement park that is semi themed to Norway.

Germany,

Imagine over two millenniums worth of old historic architecture, of culture and folklore. The native and original cuisine, Germany has so much depth to it, and i want to explore every inch.

Three beautiful architecturally impressive buildings, are the Cologne Cathedral, a twin spire grand Gothic cathedral of epic proportions, And the Heidelberg Castle, a ruined hillside castle from the 16'th century. (Cologne Cathedral picture one.) (Heidelberg Castle picture 2)

The most impressive of the trio, is the Aachen Cathedral also known as the "imperial Cathedral." The oldest cathedral in all of Northern Europe. It was Completed in 935 AD, and between the time of 935 AD and 1531 AD, this cathedral was the coronation place of 30 german kings and 12 german queens. Impressive if I say so my self. (Aachen Cathedral Picture 3.)

Oktoberfest, we've all heard of it, some strange foreign festival about what exactly? Its all about the beer! Oktoberfest is also a 3 week long folk festival with just a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy. Even if i am not legal drinking age yet, im sure i could enjoy the other festivities such as; side stalls and games, amusement rides, and most importantly the food. Traditional items such as; Würstl, Knödel, and Obatzda.

Ireland,

Malahide Castle~

Dromoland

Castle ~

Ireland is comprised of an island off of the coast of England. my personal connection for choosing Ireland is that I am of very distinct irish heritage. (The Murphy Clan) Wouldn't we all like to know where we come from?

Two interesting places in Ireland is the Blarney castle. and the Malahide castle, both castles are medieval strongholds that are dated before the 1200’s.

What To do in Ireland. One thing that popped out to me as interesting and fun was Dromoland castle. In Dromoland Castle there is a school of falconry. Other things like; fishing, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding lessons are also included there.

One much more educational thing I would like to do in Ireland is The wild Atlantic Way. It is the longest defined coastal tour in the world, this tour takes place off of the entire western seacoast of Ireland,

The Roman Forum,

Rome, Italy ~

The pantheon, Rome, Italy ~

Colosseum, Rome, Italy ~

My reasons for going to Italy is to see the amazing Ancient roman history, seeing the culture of their ancestors Incorporated into the modern day Italy, and also seeing the impressively built architecture that has withstood thousands of years.

But not everything has been modernized, the ruins of Pompeii still stand as well, ruined. Pompeii is one of Italy's most traveled tourist attractions, with just about 2 and a half million tourist every year.

Now Sicily isn't exactly a place, it is the largest Mediterranean island that is just off the edge of Italy. while it is a part of Italy, there are preserved monumental greek ruins, and a very active volcano.

Places in Rome of interest; The Roman Forum, The Colosseum, and the Pantheon. All three places are in the capital of Italy, Rome. The Roman Forum is the heart of Rome that contains ancient government buildings. The Colosseum is the biggest Amphitheater ever built. it was used as an entertainment venue for 65,000 spectators. The current Pantheon used to be a temple.

Japan,

Greece,

ever since i read the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, have always been in love with greek mythology. i have always Wanted to see where he pulls his inspiration from.

In the south of mainland Greece, there is the town of Delphi on Mount Parnassus, it is the ruins of the 4th-century-B.C. temple of Apollo

The acropolis of Athens is a complex of buildings and ruins, one of the most famous buildings is the Parthenon, which was a temple dedicated to Athena, the goddess of wisdom in greek mythology.

~Ruins of Delphi.

I have always been in love with japanese culture, from anime to history, and even the food. I have decided for many years now, that I would want to travel to japan someday, and even learn the language.

I would like to visit Nikko National park, it harbors beautiful shrines and temples, while withholding a beautiful landscape. A sight most definitely worth seeing.

One other place i would like to see is the The Tokyo Imperial Palace, which is the primary residence for japan's emperor. I think it would be awesome to see where a king/emperor lives in his palace or castle.

And lastly. Kinkakuji temple. It was once a shogun’s residence for retirement it is now a temple for zen Buddhists. Kinkakuji is also a world heritage site. Kinkakuji temple inspired the making of Ginkakuji Temple.

Other points of interest in Japan are, the Universal studios theme park, Mandarake, a store chain that is japan's biggest second hand anime and manga vendor, and The Pokemon center mega Tokyo shopping building.

The Egyptian pyramids have as many as over 100 pyramid throughout egypt, these giant stone constructions are worth the visit.

The Valley of the Queens and Valley of the Kings. In the Valley of the Kings, for over 500 years tombs were created here for pharaohs and nobles between the periods of 16th-11th BC. A separate Valley or tomb place was also laid out for the Pharaoh's wives.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a 66’ limestone statue that represents a mythological beast the called the sphinx.

Many of which are endangered. Lastly i would like to see The Khufu Ship. It is a ship that is completely intact. It was preserved in a pit in the Giza pyramid. It is currently held at the Giza Solar boat museum.

India,

From ancient temples, to outstanding authentic dinning just about anywhere. Mexico definitely made it on my top 10 list of places to go.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven, Or simply the The Metropolitan Cathedral. Is the largest of all the cathedrals in the Americas.

The Pyramid of the Sun is the biggest building of Teotihuacan and one of the most biggest. My third place i would like to visit is to go to Coba is an ancient Mayan city, it is the center crossing of many ancient mayan roads.

Three things i would love to do in Mexico is Visit Six Flags México. It is also the only Six Flags in Latin America. secondly I would LOVE to Indulge my self in the Mexican culture through the food. from taco trucks to mom and pop dinners that can serve the best burritos. And lastly Templo Mayor is a museum showcasing the ancient artifacts of the Aztec Civilization.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park ~

With an adventure of spirituality and vibrant life of the Indian experience, while just a touch of centuries old worth of architecture and history. India made a squeeze in on my list.

Three Places in India i would like to see are; The Taj Mahal, Humayun's Tomb, and the Akshardham Temple.

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum made out of white marble. It was designated to be made by Shah Jahan, a Mughal emperor. Which was To be the tomb for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Humayun's Tomb is well the tomb of Humayun. He was the an emperor to Rule over what is now, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and parts of India.

Akshardham is a hindu temple, and a cultural spiritual campus. This huge temple complex shows a millennia of hindu and indian culture, and architecture.

What to do in India;

Number one: Go to Nameri National Park, and take a wildlife safari through the parks.

Number two: Visit Chandni Chowk. it is a marketplace that is one of the biggest and oldest. Where you can find all sorts of traditional indian delicacies.
