The heads of the family control it all. From Pelican Bay Prison in Cailfornia, where they may have to stay for the rest of their lifes.
Nobody knows who really fouded the gang but it was in 1968 in Soledad in California.
After the gang quickly began to grow and soon had a big impact in the criminal world of Northern California. But as they grew and got more power they made enemies. The Mexican Mafia had their members from all California and had controlled California before the Nuestra Familia came. So a little war began and in the end the Nuestra Familia won. Now with their power growing they started to spread out throug all USA and soon was the most feared gang in the US.
The Nuestra gang members are known to wear red bandanas to identify themselves. Other symbols are the 14/XIV, because N (Nuestra) is the 14th letter in the english alpabet. But the most common symbol for La Nuestra Familia is the sombrero and the machete.
