Apart from facilitating communication and various economic activities, telecommunications is an economic sector in itself. The mobile phone boom worldwide has created jobs and generated income for the government, operators, manufacturers, service providers, and application/content developers. In developing countries, mobile phones serve as the universal access tool, especially for their low-income populations.

Masters’ Degree or Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication

Required minimum of 3 years working experience in ICT environment with a working knowledge in Project Management, Strategic Planning, Finance, Accounting and Procurement is required.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare strategic and operational plans for the Information Communications Technology (ICT) department to ensure that all necessary ICT tools, processes and systems are in place to meet the requirements of the business and contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term goals of the Institution/Ministry.

Manage and provide oversight for the implementation of an ICT systems, security strategy and disaster recovery plan that minimizes the risk of data loss.
