Mid 1990's:

Emergence of Longsight Crew &

Pitt Bull Crew.

Mid 2000's:

Emergence of smaller factions aligned to the Gooch or Doddington Gangs.

Some of the factions mirror the Los Angeles street gangs by wearing bandanas to show their allegiance, with the Gooch (Crips) wearing blue or dark bandanas and the Doddington (Bloods) wearing red.

Whilst there are now approximately 30 various gang factions of varing strength and capabilities within South Manchester and Trafford, most are believed to be aligned to either the Gooch or Doddington gangs.
