Sir Mackenzie Bowell was born on December 27, 1823, in Rickinghall, England and died December 10,1917, in Belleville, Ontario

Sir Mackenzie Bowell was a party leader

in 1894-1896 in the Liberal and Conservative Party

Sir Mackenzie Bowell was married in 1847,to Harriet Moore(1829-1884). They had 9 kids( four sons, five doughters).

Sir Mackenzie Bowell had an impact on Canada by showing the world that he could step up after Sir John S.D Thompson died. Sir Mackenzie bowell took care of the country. He also treated the people right. People admired him for being him. Sir Mackenzie Bowell steped up so that people did not have to worry about not having a prime minister. Sir Mackenzie Bowell was great for treating his people right but the other prime minister didnt think that he was right for the country.

He went from being the owner of The Belleville Intelligencer to prime minister in 1894. Sir Mackenzie Bowell tried to set up a different school system in Manitoba in 1895. Sir Mackenzie Bowell was a leader of the Government in the Senate in 1893 to 1896.He was Senater for 25 years. Sir Mackenzie Bowell would have been the second prime minister that leaded the country from the Senate. He was also the leader for the Opposition with in the Senate.
