Fleming Financial Aid Advisors
Financial Aid Advisors located in the financial aid office can support students in creating a plan to finance their college career. These advisors can assist you in plans related to financial aid, budgeting and accessing financial resources such as OSAP and student bank loans.
The Financial AID office can also supporting you in accessing opportunities for bursaries and scholarships. Many of the bursaries and scholarships available to support students that may experience additional barriers including low income students, Aboriginal students and mature students. For example, did you know that there is a First Generation Initiatives program funded by Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) that supports unemployed workers to find new careers in growing sectors. The program could contribute up to $28,000 towards low-income students tuition, books and living expenses and a Fleming Financial Aid Advisor could tell you more about it.

There are many peer-led groups and initiatives across campus and they can be a great way to connect with other students and create a positive impact on campus. Below are just some of the groups that you might be interested and we would be happy to connect you if you're interest in creating a group that doesn't already exist
Aim to create a positive and safer space for all at Fleming College and organize social spaces for LGBTQ+ students.
A space where Indigenous students and their allies can work to strengthen indigenous voices on campus and the broader community.
Aims to create a positive campus environment through representing marginalized cultures and empowering students of colour
Aims to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention
This program is focused on supporting First Generation Students by connecting them with student, staff and alumni mentors, many of which are First Generation Students themselves
Using online tools such as social media the E-Mentoring program can help you connect with a peer who can support you in transitioning into life at Fleming College
By joining this program you will receive a monthly newsletter to keep connected with support services offered across the college and in the community

Student Success Advisors are well connected within the College and are knowledgeable around access support services across the campus community. By connecting with a Student Success Advisor you can become aware even more services and communities within the college.
The advisor works closely with Fleming College's Diversity and Student Life Office and can provide information regarding college polices and services that seek to make Fleming a positive space free of discrimination
We also work to connect students with community resources located in Lindsay and across the Kawartha Lakes Region
The Student Success Advisor is a service offered by Fleming College's Student Services. Our advisors will work with you to create and pursue a career plan that is unique to your goals and experiences
When you begin to develop your plan advisors can provide information and resources to help you set goals and find a path you want to pursue
Advisors can refer you to campus and community services that can help you in reaching your goals
We will work with you as you pursue your plan to continuously review your progress
We work with all students and hold a particular focus on supporting first generation students, LGBTQ+ students and students from other marginalized communities
A Student Success Advisor can provide support for you to succeed at Fleming College. The advisor can offer knowledge around current employment trends and connect you with Academic and/or career Counsellors as you are seeking to shape your future
