Charismatic Authority

Charismatic authority is devotion to the exceptional sanctity, heroism or exemplary character of an individual person, and of the normative patterns or order revealed by him/ her.

Their mission and vision inspire others. They are usually heads of social movements, or religious prophets.

Authority

To have authority is to have the power to enforce laws, exact obedience, command, determine, or judge.

Rational- legal authority

Rational- legal authority is a form of authority in which the head of an organization or a ruling regime is largely tied to legal rationality, legal legitimacy and bureaucracy.

Types of Authority

There are three types of authority; charismatic authority, traditional authority, and rational legal authority.

Traditional Authority

Traditional authority is a form of authority in which the head of an organization or a ruling regime is largely tied to tradition or custom. they operate the way they do because "It has always been that way."
