Typhus in WW2:

  • Can be transmitted from rats when they come into contact with humans.

Gypsies in WW2:

  • Approximately 250,000 to 500,000 Gypsies were killed in concentration camps

  • Vladek shows Artie this picture of him that he took when he, "...once passed a photo place what had a camp uniform-a new and clean one- to make souvenir photos."(Spiegelman 134). He sent this picture in the letter to Anja.
