Lion Digestive System

there around seven meters long and since lions eat mostly raw meat they don't need all those enzymes like humans and they have very strong stomach juices

salivary glands and the esophagus

the salivary glands produce saliva which helps break down the food in the mouth

the esophagus helps to deliver the food to the digestive glands

the diet

lions eat mostly meat so theirs a lot of options the females hunt but the males eat first then the females then the cubs

the stomach is in charge of breaking down the food and making them into molecules that help the body

lions have sharp teeth to bite and tear at the raw flesh of a bison and to make the meat smaller so it can go down the esophagus faster and the saliva helps to break down the food aswell

the pancreas produces enzymes that help digest carbohydrates and proteins

the anus helps get all the left over junk out

there very short in spite there name they absorb water

the liver digests the fat and helps to store the bile

the gallbladder also stores bile

small intestine

where the meats nutrients gets absorbed
