About Isaac Newton's life

  • Isaac Newton was born on Born January 4, 1643 in Woolsthorpe-by-Colsterworth, United Kingdom.
  • His whole family was British.
  • Was raised by his stepfather Barnabas Smith, his mother Hannah Newton with his two half sister's Hannah Barton, Mary Pilkington and one half brother Benjamin Smith, his real father died three month's later after Newtons birth.
  • Newton was born prematurely born and with that he was very small
  • His mother remarried a new man and left Isaac with his grandmother.
  • Isaac never liked his stepfather and was very hostile to both of then, going as far as threatening to burn down them and the house down.
  • He was educated at King’s School, Grantham but soon his mother took him out to become a farmer but the school convinced his mother to send him back for a full education.

About Isaac Newton's life continued

  • After going to school he went to Trinity College, Cambridge.
  • His time there led him to create the law of gravity which influenced many mathematicians at the time.
  • He after college he went on to invent the reflective telescope.
  • After the telescope he started to theorize on light and said that light comes in rays and that the spectrum is longer then they thought but Robert Hooke, the rival of Newton denied his theory just like the others.
  • This led him to take careful looks at the discover other uses of the spectrum.
  • Soon Newton poverty and soon after that died of natural causes.
  • He died on March 31, 1727 at the age of 84.
  • His work on gravitation still helps us today like finding mass.
