Yvette was always there for Duddy, and always stuck by his side. Duddy was not always theree for Yvette, but Yvette was still there for Duddy. An example of when Yvette was there for Duddy was when they found out that Virgil was in an accident. Duddy was very upset of this , and Yvette was there to comfort him, and help him get through it.

In the novel, Duddy demonatrates loyalty towards Benjy, when he sees someone steal from Uncle Benjy's store, This represents loyalty because he could of just left it a secret and let the person get away with stealing, but he was loyal to his Uncle, and told him what had happened.
•Duddy shows continuous betrayal towards Yevette thought the novel because no matter how many time Yevette tries to help Duddy, he still acts rudely towards Yevette for example when Yevette tells Virgil not to allow Duddy to have the money, Yet even though Virgil tells Duddy what Yevette said he still goes forward to take the money.
Virgil is someone who is very loyal. Even though Virgil is epileptic he is always working very hard to help Duddy. Even though he knows that staying up late hours of the night and not getting enough sleep can cause him to have more seizures , he still continues to try his best to help out Duddy. This demonstrates loyalty because he is faithful and hard working for Duddy, so he does not let Duddy down.
