DII consists of mid-size colleges. This allows students to have a large school atmosphere with a tight-knit community like a small school.
DIVISIONS
At the DI level, student-athletes have more rigorous competition within the team itself. This means that not all athletes will have consistent playing time through their careers.
At DII, it more likely that athletes will compete throughout their four year careers.
While DII is competitive, it is a great balance between sports and academics.
With less demands than DI, this division allows student-athletes to have more control of their time while still competing at a high level.
Like DI, DII schools offer notable athletic scholarships to student-athletes.
About 62% of DII students receive some athletic aid.
