Adolf Hitler, Nazi leader, commits suicide after losing to the Soviet Union to the Battle of Berlin. Causing the Nazis to surrender! Ending the war in Europe.

In 1936 The Great Purge began to commence with many trials. These trials consisted of Stalin eliminating the old party leaders and bringing in more communist believers. This was the first of many plans to change The Soviet Union to what he had in mind. The Great Purge lasted from 1936 to 1939.

Stalin died from massive heart attack on March 5, 1953 in Moscow Russia. Though Stalin did many horrible things in his life, he is remember to this day of a man who saved his country from being overtaken by the Nazis.

After Lenin died in 1924, Joesph Stalin began to take down his rivals and win the control of the Communist Party. But it was not until the late 1920's when he finally became the dictator of the Soviet Union.

End of WWII

On May 8th of 1945 the Nazis surrender to the Soviet Union, marking the end of WWII.

In 1937, The census was not recorded suggesting that a population decrease was in place due to the Holodomor. A Holodomor meaning "Extermination by hunger" killed thousands of people. There is no for sure answer to the exact number of deaths during this time, since the census was not recorded. To contain his control Stalin killed his own people by cutting food rations.
