Ancient Egyptian Games compared to Modern Day Games

The games have been rebirthed.

If you noticed some of these games are actually a lot like those Egyptian games. If you noticed, Monopoly is a lot like Senet. In Monopoly you go around a board trying to buy properties and get the most money. In Senet you are trying to get all your pieces to pass into the Afterlife, and there are some obstacles in your way, same as Monopoly.

They have are both creative in different ways, by Monopoly having properties, mortgage, and money involved. Senet you have the stages of trying to get into the Afterlife.

Monopoly was invented in the U.S.A and has characteristics of the country. Senet was invented in Egypt, and it is based on the culture of Egypt.

Cribbage is a lot like Hounds and Jackals, by the goal being to get all your pieces to the end. They both are very unique and creative in their own way.

Senet was a cooperative game. Basically everyone in Ancient Egypt had it in their house. The Pharaohs played it for fun, though they believed that the winner would be in the protection of Ra, Osiris, and Thoth. They also believed that the Gods played it.

The reason that they buried Senet in the Pharaohs tomb was because they thought that it would help them get a good fortune in the afterlife.

The House of Happiness

The House of Three Truths.

The House of Rebirth

You have succesfully made it through the board of Senet.

Just like the Ancient

Egyptians enjoyed playing their games. We enjoy playing board games, video games, and card games. And we're very cooperative by playing with each other because most games you can't play with just one player, you need multiple players.

The Ancient Egyptians

enjoyed playing Senet,

Aseb, and Mehen. The

Pharaohs, peasants,

and other classes in the

social pyramid mostly

played senet for fun.

3. The Pharaoh, peasents, and other social classes played Senet.

4. The Ancient Egyptians believed that if they won a game of Senet they would be under the protection of Thoth, Ra, and Osiris.

1. How is faience made?

2. List four games from Ancient Egypt?

3. Who played Senet in Ancient Egypt?

4. What did the Ancient Egyptians believed would have happened after they won a game of Senet?

In the Modern Day, board games are very useful because it keeps you from playing video games and on screens. Which is bad for your brain and your learning process.

Board games also entertains you and keeps you occupied.

The Ancient Egyptians didn't have all the modern day technology that we have.

We do not know how much the Ancient Egyptians played the game, but we do know that it's pretty popular.

The Ancient Egyptians thought Senet was really useful because it was their belief that when they won, they were under the protection of some Gods.

Also they believed that it was really important to play the game because it could help you get through your difficult stages getting to the afterlife.

So in their minds it was a really useful game.
