Describe how the following can affect the quality of the information produced: accuracy, relevance, age, completeness, presentation and level of detail

Relevance: the information must be relevant. if you have some information

but does not relate to the topic it is worthless.

Disadvantage of having irrelevant data increases volume of data which means you look at things which dont matter.

Presentation:

Presentation is key.

If you can't understand it or find what your looking for it loses value.

Could be improved by using a different representation (text instead of graphics)

Age:

The information might be too old.

Information can change over time.

Old information may not be relevant.

Level of detail:

Can be given too much or to little information.

Volume of data determines whether you have enough to make a decision or not.

Too much makes it difficult to find what you require.

Accuracy: data needs to be accurate. if its not accurate you cannot rely on the information it provides.

Completeness:

Having part of the information is worthless.

You want to view a house but are only given the door number without the street name or date of viewing then you do not know much.
