Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief:

Historical items

Zeus's Bolt

Zeus's Bolt

The main item of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. It is the most powerful weapon in the universe and when Percy Jackson (son of Poseidon) has supposedly stolen Zeus's Bolt it reeks havoc in the God world and the mortal world. It is a lightning bolt roughly the same size as a sword and can transform in size due to the holder of the bolt.

Hermes Boots

Cuirass (chest Piece)

Hermes boots were boots that held wings on either side of the sole. They allowed the user to fly and were extremely fast. In Percy Jackson and the lightning thief Hermes's son gave them to Percy to help him on his Journey to tell Zeus that he is not the lightning thief.

A cuirass is a piece of roman Armour that was made of single of multiple pieces of metal which covers the front of your torso. The Romans basically created this armour and used to use it in all combat.

Gladius (sword)

The Gladius is the Latin word for sword and it is used to represent the primary sword of an Ancient Roman foot soldier. The sword was the most used weapon throughout the roman empire, they were used in everything from war to gladiatorial fighting. The sword is basically a sharp blade on the end of a wooden or metal handle.

Scutum (shield)

Scutum is the latin word for shield. The shield was a 10 kg large rectangle curved shield (as seen in the picture). The shield was made from 3 sheets of wood glued together with leather or canvas and had a metal plate covering the outside of the shield. They were almost always 1 metre in height and 70 cm in width. According to Polybius (a greek historian) the shields gave the Romans a distinct edge over their enemies, "Their arms also give the men both protection and confidence owing to the size of the shield." .
