This formation is a former tributary glacier valley

that is incised into the upper part of a U-shaped

glacier valley. It is higher than the floor of the main valley. These are created by A U-shaped valley being formed and the Hanging Valley is what remains above it. This is an example of deposition as the rock moves from the top of the valley to the bottom.

A Horn Formation is a pointed mountain peak, typically pyramidal. It is bounded by at least 3 cirques. These are formed by the surrounding cirques eroding the ground all around it, leaving the mountain in the middle above everything . This is an example of erosion glacial feature because the mountain gets cut down by the glaciers and by wind.

An Arete formation is a jagged, narrow ridge that separates two adjacent glaciers. These are created by the two glaciers cutting down the rock on each side which leaves the ridge in the center . This is an erosional feature because the glaciers on each side slide and break down the rock.

This formation is a bowl shaped depression into the head or side of a glaciers valley. This formation is created by the glaciers moving and cutting down into the rock forming a bowl. This is an erosional feature since the glacier breaks up the rock.

U-shaped Valley

U-shaped valleys are as the name states, a valley in the shape of a U unlike the typical V shape. These are created when glaciers slowly move down a hill or mountain. They take the most direct path, which is straight. When they move they cut through the rock and create the valley. This is an erosional type of formation because the rock is carved from the mountain but it is also deposition as the rock then gets moved by the glacier down hill.

Erratic

A glacier table is where a rock is elevated by a pedestal of ice. This is formed because the rock shields the ice under it from melting so that ice doesn't melt well the rest does, leaving it higher than the rest, creating a table like affect. This is an example of deposition as the rock is moved.

A Lateral Moraine is a sediment ridge, located on the glacier's surface adjacent to the valley walls. It is formed by the accumulation of rock

material falling onto the glacier from the

valley wall. This formation is an example of deposition because the rocks are

moved from the valley walls

An erratic glacier formation is any type or size of rock that has been transported a significant distance from its origin. This happens when the ice of a glacier gets under a rock or the rock falls on the glacier and the glacier moves and then melts, leaving the rock behind. This is an example of deposition

because the rocks are displaced.
