It is especially evident in the proles who are kept away from the other party's and to keep them separated they are not allowed to be educated like the other people in their society

Most Party Members Equate Proles with Animals:
"The proles are human beings... We are not human."
Winston's perspective is that The Proles are the ones who have been dehumanized the least:
"They were not loyal to a party or country or idea, they were loyal to one another... They had not become hardened inside. They had held onto the primitive emotions which he himself had to learn by conscious effort. " (172).
The Party finds ways to distract the proles and ensure that they are unaware of the evils of INGSOC.
