Here is an example of me using after effects to edit a title in between the wall and use a tracking effect to keep it as stationary as possible as the shot moves. The title has also been put into 3D.
This was the first time I had been introduced to after effects and I found it a very useful although rather advanced and complicated software but after a while of working on it I managed to get the hang of it. I feel it has allowed me to improve in editing and helped me a lot in the task of integrating my opening titles into my opening sequence.
For the actual filming
of the opening I used
my Canon EOS 7D the
same one I used to
film my preliminary
task. I feel I have
improved with my filming skills, it is a very good
camera to use, it focuses well and has
good zoom.
YouTube has been a big part of this task since whenever we need a video posted to our blog we must import it onto the blog through YouTube, I have never actually used YouTube before but it has been very easy to work and helpful. It is not a very complicated software to figure out how to work. I have also used YouTube for research on opening scenes and also opening titles as inspiration for integrated titles
These are some examples of videos I watched
on YouTube to see some versions of integrated
titles. Zombie Land, The girl with the dragon tattoo and Harry Potter.
For editing like stabilizing, trimming down, controlling the sound of the shots and putting them together in the order I wanted them in. I have used final cut pro several times before however I feel I have further improved in all my editing skills from this task. I have to do more challenging edits with this task and so have improved.
Blogger has been a very big part of the task as it is where I have taken down many notes and planning about what I will do and contains info about conventions such and things such as order of opening credits, It has been a very helpful site for me and is very simple to work.
My actor Ethan actually being a golfer owned several golf clubs and balls that we used within the film.
For our video we aslo
used foley sound for
several sound effects
mine being footsteps
golf ball getting hit by
golf club and a door closing, for this I used
garage band, I have never used it before however I did find it very straightforward and hope to learn more about it in future.
This is a screen shot from me working on garage band with my three Foley sounds finished and trimmed down.
