On the last 31st of October we celebrated Halloween in our school, of course we didn’t forget ALL SAINTS , which is part of our culture and beliefs; especially with Secondary students, we compare both traditions.
El pasado 31 de Octubre celebramos Halloween en nuestra escuela, por supuesto no olvidamos a TODOS LOS SANTOS, fiesta que forma parte de nuestra cultura y creencias; especialmente con los alumnos de secundaria hicimos una comparativa entre ambas tradiciones.

We all enjoyed ourselves a lot, not only the students, but also the teachers ; some of the teachers dressed up as witches and skeleton, You can see our students´ faces in the photos. It was really fun.
Todos disfrutamos mucho, no sólo los alumnos sino también los profesores; algunos profesores se disfrazaron de brujas y de esqueletos. Puedes ver las caras de nuestros alumnos en las fotos. Fue realmente divertido.

THE LITTLE ORANGE HOUSE
A small witch is walking in the woods. The cold wind is blowing leaves all around her. The witch is looking for a house for the winter. She can't find one. Suddenly she sees a piece of orange paper........

With the help of the art and craft teacher we made masks, all the instructions were given in English.. After that, we also made some vocabulary activities in English. They were told the history of Halloween in Spanish.

They heard the history of Halloween and Jack'o Latern in English. Then, they realized a Compare and Contrast in English about Halloween and All the Saints' Day
Being aware of the importance of respecting other cultures from an early age, our English Department prepared different activities for our students.
Siendo conscientes de la importancia de respetar diferentes culturas desde edades muy tempranas, nuestro departamento de inglés preparó diferentes actividades para nuestros alumnos
We decorated the school with hanging paper models of pumpkin
This year we have also decorated our doors.
También decoramos las clases con tiras de papel de modelos de calabazas. Este año también decoramos nuestras puertas.

Third Primary school pupils have designed and coloured their own masks which will become part of their Halloween costumes.

All the pre-primary courses made an excursion
to "Bigopan" in order to know our Jaen typical
sweets for "All Day Saint", such as "buñuelos",
"Huesos de Santo" and so on.
Our children had the opportunity
to make themselves their own
sweets and of course to try
them.

They also watched "Thriller" by Michael Jackson which
is related to this Halloween celebration.
