Learning Objective: YWBAT create an orthographic 3-view from a real object.
Essential Question: What tools will allow us to accurately capture a real object's dimensions?
Do Now: (3 min)
Tomorrow, you will undertake the initial planning phase of your final project in this class. You are being asked to bring an object (remote control, tablet, other...) for which you will sketch, model, and manufacture a solution (stand, case, replacement part, etc...).
1. For what object would you like to design and manufacture something?
2. What would you like to design for that object?
Do Now: (3 min) Below is work submitted by two separate groups for yesterday's assignment (rough sketch of an SD card). These sketches will be used to create a professional dimensional drawing today.
For each submission, identify:
1. What was done well!
2. What is missing or needs improvement!

Create an Orthographic 3-View of a Real Object
Due Today
Part 1 - Complete the orthographic 3-View of the SD card.
- Be sure to include the dimensions and PROJECT lines from one orthographic view to the other.
Part 2 - Model your SD card in 123D Design and submit it through worksheet 05.03.
Please bring a remote control or another object that you would like to build a stand for to class tomorrow!
