Used mainly for immunocompromised patients. These patients are those whose body defense systems are not capable of protecting them from infections and diseases.

Examples of these patients include those whose immune system have been depress prior to reeving transplants, severely burned patients, patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatments for cancer, or patients whose immune systems have failed.
