Circumference

Of A

Circle . . . The area

of a

circle . . . The diameter . . . To get the area:

Half the diameter, to get the radios.

Then times it by itself.

Afterthat, times it by pie !!! !!! Marvellous Memory Mathamatics !!! To get the area of a cicle:

Half the diameter, to get the radius.

Them times it by itself.

Afterthat, times it by pie !!! To get the Radius . . .

Just, half the diameter !!! The Circumference = The

length around the outside

of the circle. To find the

circumference,

you [simply]

times the

diameter

by pie

!!! The Radius The Diameter is always

from one side of the

circle, to the other !!! Oh . . . Just to

point out . . .

It DOES NOT have to

be from left to right. . .

It could be from top to bottom,

Well anywhere you can think

of !!! But ONLY in

the circle :) The Circle Of Circles . . . . . . Averages . . . Mode . . . The mode is the value,

That appears most . . .

To work out the mode:

Numbers =

7 11 9 6 6 11 3 13 6

2) Put the numbers in order:

3 6 6 6 7 9 11 11 13

3) Look for the number that appears

the most . . . . . .

6 appears more tha any other number.

So the MODE value, is 6 !!!!!!!!! Median . . . The median is the middle value.

To work out the median:

1) Put the numbers in order:

3 6 6 6 7 9 11 11 13

2) The number in the middle of the list is the median.

So the median value is 7.

If there are two middle values, the median is halfway between them. Work out the median for this set of numbers:

3 6 6 6 7 8 9 11 11 13

There are two middle values, 7 and 8.

The median is halfway between 7 and 8, so the median is 7.5.

Mean . . . The mean is the total of the numbers divided by how many numbers there are.

To work out the mean:

1.Add up all the numbers.

7 + 9 + 11 + 6 + 13 + 6 + 6 + 3 + 11 = 72

2.Divide the answer by how many numbers there are.

There are 9 numbers.

72 ÷ 9 = 8

So the mean value is 8.

Range . . . The range is the difference between the biggest and the smallest number.

To work out the range:

1.Put the numbers in order:

3 6 6 6 7 9 11 11 13

2.Subtract the smallest number from the biggest number:

13 - 3 = 10

So the range of this set of numbers is 10.

. . . .Solving Simple Equations . . . Do you go blank when you

see x, y and z in maths? Well, this is

your abc to

solving equations. In an equation, letters stand for a missing number. To solve an equation, find the values of missing numbers. A typical exam question is:

Solve the equation 2a + 3 = 7

This means we need to find the value of a. The answer is a = 2

The method you can use when trying to solve this type of problem is:

7 - 3 = 4

Then, What goes into 4 . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . .

2

a = 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solve the equation 2y = 6 to find the value of y. To get y on its own, we need to divide it by 2. As you already know, you must always perform the same operation on both sides of the equation.

2y ÷ 2 = 6 ÷ 2

y = 3 . . . The Answer Is . . . ARE YOU READY ? Have you got the answer ?
