Pre-1800's:

1894: The Dreyfus Affair occured. The Franco-Russian alliance was made.

1897: The Zionist Conference was gathered.

1821-1832: The Greek War of Independence happens.

1832: The London Protocol occurs, declaring Greek sovereignty and affirmed the rights of religious minorities.

1833: The Factory Act prohibits child labor.

1834: The German Zollverein is established.

1830-1840s: England had two major railway lines by 1830, Belgium started construction in 1835, Germany

in 1835, and France in the 1840s.

1804-1824: Between 1804 and 1824, France was driven from Haiti, Portugal lost control of Brazil, and Spain was forced to withdraw from all of its American empire except Cuba and Puerto Rico.

1812: Alliances between France, Prussia and Austria form.The Sixth Coalition is created. Bonaparte's army reaches Moscow and withdraw, and Napoleon abandons his Grand Armee in defeat.

1813: Prussia declares war on France, and then Austria. Bonaparte and the Pope sign the Second Concordat.

1814: The first abdication of Napoleon in Fontainebleau occurs. The Treaty of Fontainbleau is made. Napoleon is sent to Elba.

1815: Bonaparte escapes from Elba and reaches Paris. Napoleon returns to France in February. He inspires men to reach again for glory, and his final military defeat comes June 18th at the Battle of Waterloo.The Seventh Coalition against France is formed and the Congress of Vienna ends. Bonaparte is exiled to St. Helena. The Corn Laws are passed.

1816: In France, the income of working people in terms of what it buys (real wages) begins a four-decade decline.

1817: Britain has been burdened by war against France. From this year on and into the next century real wages in Britain will be rising.

1819: The Six Acts are passed.

1852: Louis Napoleon becomes Emperor Napoleon III (2nd Empire).

1853-1856: The Crimeon War occurs(Turkey, Britain, France vs. Russia). The Peace Conference occurs in 1856.

1857: The Sepoy Mutiny occurs, and Indian soldiers who had been placed in irons for refusing to accept new cartridges were rescued by their comrades. Delhi was recaptured by the British after wide-spread revolution.

1860: Italy became a nation state under constitutional monarchy.

1784: Napoleon Bonaparte's enrollment in l'Ecole Militaire in Paris as a cadet, beginning his significance in politics for France and Corsica.

1789: The French Revolution started with the formation of the National Assembly. The storming of the Bastille occurs.

1791: Napoleon Bonaparte joined the Jacobins, a radical and democratic club during the French Revolution. Louis XVI flees to Varennes.

1792: The First Coalition against France is formed.

1796: Napoleon Bonaparte takes control of the army of Italy.

1797: The Treaty and Peace of Campo Formio was created.

1799: Napoleon Bonaparte is appointed as First Consul.

1799-1802: The Second Coalition is formed against France.

1870-1871: The Franco-Prussian War continues. The formation of the French Third Republic is created. The unification of Germany occurs.

1873: The League of Three Emperors between Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Russia is created.

1875: The Public health act was made (established inspections and public health education).

1878: The Stan Stefano Treaty is made. The Congress of Berlin occurs.

1879: A secret dual alliance between Germany and Austria is made.

1846: The Corn Laws are repealed.

1845-1846: The Irish Potato Famine occurs.

1848: Revolutions occur France, Austria, Hungary and Germany. The revolution in Paris forces the abdication of Louis Phillipe. Marx and Engel's Communist Manifesto is published. The Frankfurt Assembly occurs. Louis Napoleon was elected President of France (2nd Republic).

1861: The emancipation of Russian serfs happens (which tied the Russian peasants irrevocably to their landlords). The Italian unification occurs.

1865: The Treaty of Paris is created.

1866: The Austro-Prussian war, also known as the 7 Weeks War, occurs. The Treaty of Prague is created.

1867: A dual monarchy establishes a Hungarian autonomy.

1870: The Franco-Prussian War brings an end to the 2nd Empire, and France becomes a Republic.

1800: The Election of Pope Puis II occurs and there is renewed fighting between France and Austria.

1801: The French evacuate Egypt. The Concordat with the Catholic church is signed.

1803: France sells Louisiana to the United States and Britain declares war on France. The Third Coalition begins.

1804: Napoleon Bonaparte is proclaimed Emperor and the Civil Code is introduced.

1805: Bonaparte crowns himself King of Italy, the Peace of Pressburg is carried out, and the Battle of Trafalgar occurs.

1807: The peace treaty of Tilsit.

1808: Joseph Bonaparte becomes King of Spain.

1881: The assassination of Alexander II is carried out. The League of Three Emperors was renewed.

1882: The British establish a protectorate over Egypt. Italy joins the dual alliance with Austria and Germany.

1884: The Berlin Conference occurs (decided who claimed what in Africa)

1885: The Sudan Crisis occurs. The League of Three Emperors falls apart.

1887: Bismark signs reassurance treaty with Russia.

1890: Bismark was dismissed, which would later lead to the precarious balance of the treaties to fall apart.

1820: Revolutions in Spain, Italy, and Greece occur.

1821: The stability for Europe sought at the Congress of Vienna in 1815 is coming undone since Bonaparte's death.

1823: Austria, Russia and Prussia authorize French troops to enter Spain to destroy the liberal revolution there and re-establish the rule of Ferdinand VII. The Population Exchange occurs.

1824: The Combination Acts are repealed.

1825: Louis XVIII has died and is succeeded by his reactionary brother, Charles X.

1820-1825: The Holy Alliance between Prussia, Austria and Russia is issued in order to assist eachother.
