How different parts of the human brain are similar to and different from the brains of other primates?

Primates

Primates are mammals. They are usually distinguished by having hands, hand like feet, and forward-facing eyes, and, with the exception of humans, are typically agile tree-dwellers. Primates include lemurs, baboons, humans, gorillas, monkeys, apes e.t.c.

What's a brain?

A brain is an organ of soft nervous tissue contained in the skull of vertebrates, functioning as the coordinating center of sensation and intellectual and nervous activity

To answer the basic question

  • The cerebrum, which controls reasoning is much more developed in human than most primates.
  • Most primates cerebrum are smaller in size than humans.
  • Human brain stem which relays the message between the brain and the body the is larger than most's primate's.
