How they did it

They first showed the monkeys how to self administer the drugs.

Then they left the monkeys with a supply of the drugs.

Our Theory

We feel that if this experiment would have been tested with humans instead of monkeys the results would have been basically the same.

This was absolutely an unethical test due to the harm they caused on the Monkeys. However, it is natural tendency to abuse a substance if taught how to use it and left with a supply of it.

Reasons Deemed Unethical

  • Harmed the monkeys mentally, emotionally and physically without their say

  • "Just to watch the effects" was not a good enough reason

  • The only results was death because a monkey cannot be put into AA or therapy.

  • They lived just to die
