Education needed!
A certification of a pharmacy tech..Not much states require it, but if they do. A high school diploma is needed.
- Registers customer purchases on pharmacy cash registers(s) and collects and handles cash, as required
- Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the quality improvment program.
- Performs duties assigned by Manager, Pharmacy Department relating to inventory control such as ordering; unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceutical and Rx supplies; processing claims for shortages/overages and damages in shipments; and returning outdated and overstocked merchandise.
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Performs duties as assigned by Manager, Pharmacy Department relating to preparing refills of unit does prescription orders for institutions, when required
- HANDLES TELEPHONE CALLS THAT DO NOT REQUIRE PERSONAL ATTENTION OF THE PHARMACIST
I don't think I would pursue a job in this company, because it doesn't seem like much.
The thing I liked best about this job is that, it's really quiet and it looks easy.
tHE THING I DISLIKED ABOUT THIS JOB IS THAT, IT LOOKS A LITTLE TOO EASY. WHICH MAKES IT BORING.
