Iltutmish nominated his daughter Razia for the throne of Delhi by overtaking his son Ruknudddin Firoz.

Because she was more competent and brave.

Razia Sultan was the first Muslim woman who captured the throne of Delhi. The nobles of Delhi did not like Razia as Sultan so conspired and killed her.

Nasir-ud-din Mahmud the youngest son of Ilutmish was crowned as Sultan after Razia's death. He was kind but weak ruler. The noble named Balban governed the empire under the shadows of Nasir-ud-din.

Expressions of Iltumish about her daughter are, "This little girl of mine is superior to many sons."

Balban ascended the throne after Nasir-ud-din's death and ruled the empire with an iron hand.

BALBAN

Balban's successors were weak and incompetent.

After three years of Balban's death,

The Slave dynasty came to an END.

In 1290 CE Khilji dynasty took over Delhi.
