Economic Crisis: in addition to the inflation problem, OPEC decided to quit selling oil to the US which caused an energy crisis
Iranian Hostage Crisis: after the leader of Iran went to the US for canceer treatments, Muslim extremists took over Iran and kidnapped 52 Americans and held them hostage for over a year and released them when Carter was no longer president
Camp David Peace Accords:Jimmy arter successfully negotiated a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt; this is the only peace treaty between the two

The Break-In: Nixon sent some people who worked his campaign to break in the Watergate building to look for dirt on the democrats. they were caught and arrested
CREEP: burgulars of the Watergate break-in; Nixon denied knowing anything about the break-in.
The Cover-up: congress invesigates and discovered Nixon was secretly reording everything in the White House on tapes
