PH BALANCE SCALE

- The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance(a chemical) is.

- The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.

- A pH of 7 is neutral.

- A pH less than 7 is acidic.

- A pH greater than 7 is basic.

- Acidic and basic describe chemical properties.

- Mixing acids and bases can neutralize their extreme effects. A substance that is neither acidic nor basic is neutral.

-Hydrochloric acid has a pH of 1. It is used in rubber and fertilizers.

Lemon Juice has a pH of 2. It is used in food recipes and beverages.

Body Soap's Ph level can range from 9-10. Body soap is used to clean you body, hence the name.

Milk of magnesia

Milk of magnesia has a pH value of 10 and it is a common medicine brand.

Ammonia

Ammonia has a pH level of 11. It is used in dyes, cleaning supplies, and fertilizers.

Soapy Water

Soapy water has a pH of 12 because when water, a neutral substance is mixed with soap the pH goes up due to soap being an alkaline base.

Household Bleach

Bleach has a ph level of 13 and is used mainly for cleaning.

Liquid drain cleaner

Liquid Drain Clean is a strong alkaline and is is method for unblocking sewer pipes or clogged wastewater drains.
