Suzanne Collins was inspired by her dad because they have to move a lot because of the Vietnam war. That inspired her to write the hunger games book. I would say from my prospective it was a thrilling story. It's starts with picking two people from all the districts. In district 12 Katniss volunteers for her sister to be a tribute for the Hunger games. That starts the adventure for Katniss and her teammate Peeta. Katniss never thought she would win the Hunger games, but she realized that she can win it because she had close relationship with Peeta. Soon she gets to be friends with a 12 year old girl called Rue from district 11.
