Economic Problems
During the Revolution, France was suffering through tough economic problems. It's own were starving and left to die on streets for hunger. The prices of food were rising(wheat and grains), making it difficult for the poor to even buy a single grain of rice for their family.
Today, France remains a republic government with a Prime Minister and a council of minsters, and the Revolution was responsible for its success. Without the Revolution France could still be a monarchy, and may still be bankrupt. The political changes helped solve many problems. It eliminated the financial problems created by the King, and helped mold France into the country it is today
The French Revolution was a war caused by social unrest and poor economic status, causing France to turn upon their own King and Queen. The revolution has changed many parts of France, making it an interesting country in later history to form on basis of war between its own people. Here are some ways the revolution has changed France.
Between the years of 1889 and 1891 the National Assembly made many changes and helped France with their financial situation. The National Assembly Confiscated the church's land which held alot of money and divided the land into 83 departments which were individually governed by elected officials. The government started to look hopeful for a change, and after signing the constitution created by the Assembly, King Louis XVI was reinstated in 1891 and France had what was called a constitutional Monarchy. This means the King shared power with the National Assembly

Economic Problems
The French Revolution also had changed the social status of many people, in society.
Due to food prices rising, families began to eat grass as food. Feeding grass to their family to make their stomach full, was the only option left. The desperate situation of France and it's people, started to make the citizens of France turn upon their own Monarchy and disbelieve in their power to fix the situation in France.
Before the revolution, France was a monarchy ran by King Louis XVI. King Louis put his country in debt, spending a substantial amount of money on wars he was involved in. Because of the money spent on wars France went bankrupt. This caused many problems with taxes, and the needs of the people being fulfilled. These are some of the causes of the Revolution that started in 1789 and would overthrow the monarchy by 1992.
Throughout the years before the Revolution King Louis XV and King Louis XVI tried to tax the nobles which were exempt from taxes. In order to solve this problem King Louis XVI summoned the Estates General which was created in 1614. Sticking to old tradition the Estates General met in different chambers for different classes. from 1614 to 1789 many things had changed, and the old ways did not go over well with the third class. The third class believed that votes should be taken by person, not by class. The king rejected their idea, and this led to the creation of the National assembly. Their purpose was to represent the poeple, and refused to break up until a new constitution was formed.
With the constitutional monarchy new factions were created such as Feuillants (constitutional monarchists), Girondins (liberal republicans) and Jacobins (radical revolutionaries). In 1892 war was declared on Austria and Prussia by the King, the Feuillants, and the Girondins. Austria and Prussia invaded the Royal Palace, and the king was arrested. The Monarchy was overthrown, and the Republic was created. in 1993, King Louis XVI was excecuted by the guillotine. In 1995 the constitution shifted to a directoire, which consisted of five directors who were annually appointed by a bicameral parliament (500 representatives, 250 senators). In 1799, Napoleon staged a coup which led to him being the Leader of France until 1815.
