This book is considered to be a young adult fiction. the book takes place in the 1980s - 1999
Their decision to set up cameras in jens room to catch her step father was smart but also very risky. It was the right thing to do though because by doing this they were able to come together and stop her step father from harming jen and the new baby her mother was about to deliver
I think it is a book appropriate for high school students and adults. the reason being is because it is a graphic book that can be extremely to graphic for younger readers.
The characters i found the moss interesting were Dillon and Jennifer, because of their problems and how they coped with them. Also how they both came together to help one another even though they both had issues.
Explanation
The reason this book was banned because it has explicit content that may not be appropriate because it contains:
Dillon Hemingway is a known athlete at Chief Joseph High School. He is trying to cope with the loss of his brother, Preston, who committed suicide. Other than that he deals with the fact he likes is brothers former girlfriend, Stacy, and the best female athlete at school, Jennifer Lawless. Jennifer was sexually abused by her own father and is now being abused by her step father. Dillon finds out that Stacy had Preston's baby that her mom adopted and finds out about Jens secrets. He turns to the counselor for help and brings jen with him together they catch her step father in the act and blackmail him out of the house and get him arrested.
It was a book that someone could possible relate to because it includes a female that has been sexually harassed by a male in her life in this case her father, and is being abused by her step father. It also has the main character going through the death of his brother. I do not think think it should be considered a " banned book".
