I used YouTube as a main source for this assignment. I also used the Canadian Encyclopedia.
To conclude, this was a very meaningful presentation. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. Do you want someone to just tell you to leave? I know you do not want that to happen. This is a very major issue when it comes to discrimination. Nobody really knew that the first settlers here in Canad would just colonize it. Hopefully, nothing like this would happen anymore.
Until now, I don't think the Aboriginal people are allowed to be a part of the government. Is that fair to them? We just recognize them mostly at schools for students to acknowledge. Is that enough to recognize them? I don't think it's right to leave them out of the government powers. I also don't think how their acknowledgment is enough for people to know.
Today we will be talking about how the Indigenous people of Canada are marginalized generally. First off, I would like you guys to introduce yourselves to the class. Don't forget to mention your background. I will make sure this will be something you guys would cherish!
Their story begins when the British came to Canada. Sorrow and pain struck them when they arrived. Who knew that they would just colonize Canada? The British has done the most shocking things ever! They got rid of their language. They wiped out some of their population. They took over their land. They took advantage of everything the innocent nation had. The first settlers and Aboriginal people didn't even make an agreement.
To most people, marginalization means a single word only . To feel unimportant. However, marginalization of Aboriginal people is a big set of deep meanings. When the first settlers came to Canada, they were treated like animals. It was a nightmare to them. It was a very scary journey to them for a long time.
