Cumulative
Scores
Cumulative scores bring up another way exam scores can affect graduation
Cumulative Scores
The cumulative score is the total of all your EOC scores
in a certain subject. This score must meet or exceed the
standard(as yet undetermined) by the state of Texas.
Which means...
this score, along with the 15 percent tie in to the course grade, can affect whether or not
you walk across the stage and graduate.
However...
if the added score of a student's tests does not meet the standard
then the student must retake one or more of the exams until their
score meets the minimum cumulative score.

Recurring Freshmen will continue to take TAKS.
Understanding the new system
Mansfield ISD has developed a system to convert the scale scores of EOC exams into a number score designed to help you.
- If you fail the EOC, no matter by what margin, you will make a 68
- If you pass the EOC you will make a 90
- If you get commended on the EOC you will make a 100
This means if you passed both semesters of a course with at least a 70, but you failed the EOC, you will still pass the course.
[you will average out at a passing 69.4]
