John Lennon married Yoko Ono in 1969. After he left the group, he continued to create music, produced under John Lennon/The Plastic Ono Band. He wrote many albums, including Imagine. He became very active protesting the Vietnam War. John left the music industry after the birth of his son in 1975, but came back in 1980. Sadly, he was murdered in 1980, but his legacy remains.
After the Beatles, Ringo continued to make music with John and George seperately, until he formed his own band, the All-Starr Band. He created several albums and was featured in mutliple films. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for musical excellence in 2015.
The Beatles worked with many different vinyls companies, including:
-VeeJay (VJ)
-Capitol
-Apple
-Parlophone
Vinyl records were the biggest way to listen to the Beatles, besides the radio.
-Astrid Kutchherr: influenced the Beatles style, look, and hair. She was their photographer for a brief period and changed how they presented themselves.
-Norman, Geoff, Ken, Glyn: the engineers that worked with the Beatles. They helped revolutionize the "sounds of the Beatles".
-Linda McCartney and Yoko Ono: while all the girlfriends and wives and each member had their own role in the Beatles, these two had the most influence. Specifically Ono, because of her presence in the recording studio.
-Brian Epstein: the manager of the Beatles. He was the first person to see the promise of these young men back in 1961. His death had a great impact on the Beatles.
-George Martin: known as the fifth Beatle, he was also the producer for them.
In 1960, the Beatles formed in Liverpool, England.
The band went through many different changes regarding members, but ultimately, John, Paul, George, and Ringo stuck it through.
Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman in 1969. After the Beatles broke up, they formed a band together called Wings. Before this, however, Paul released a couple of albums, including, McCartney. After John's death, Paul was restricted from touring, so he turned to film making. Still alive, Paul still influences the world, joining causes such as animal rights campaigning.
The Beatles were very familiar with drugs. They were long time marijuana users, starting in the early 1960's. Multiple members were even arrested for possession. Later, they were introduced to LSD. While John and George were the first to try it, Paul and Ringo eventually did as well. LSD changed their personalities and songwriting. Their music became laced with deeper meaning and funky sounds. The Beatles also experimented with other drugs such as heroin.
Some people say that the Beatles influenced people to take drugs, but they deny this.

After the Beatles broke up, George put out several solo albums including All Things Must Pass. He started the "trend" of celebrity fund-raising events by putting on concerts to raise money for Bangladesh. He also turned to film making in 1979, and founded the company Handmade Films. After John's death, George was attacked in his home but survived. However, he battled with two types of cancer and eventually passed away in 2001.
