How was prohibition created?

When and where was prohibition?

The noble experiment of Prohibition was introduced by the 18th Amendment, which became effective in January 1920.

On November 18, 1918, prior to ratification of the Eighteenth Amendment, the U.S. Congress passed the temporary Wartime Prohibition Act, which banned the sale of alcoholic beverages having an alcohol content of greater than 1.28%.

What is prohibition?

It is the prevention by law of the manufacture and sale of alcohol, especially in the US between 1920 and 1933.

Why was prohibition created?

A ban on alcohol would boost supplies of important grains such as barley
