Lithosere
It is a plant succession that begins life on a newly exposed rock surface. (E.g. newly volcanic island, emerging raised beach and retreat of glacier.)Various sere stages are passed through before climatic climax is reached. It is an orderly sequence of events where one community is replaced by another.
Pioneer Community
Lithosere was colonized by Pioneer species such as Algae, Mosses, Lichen and Bacteria which can survive in a hardy condition and does not require nutrients expect for sunlight.
