China

Chinas economy expanded until 1600. Russia and China were both gun power nations, they exchanged with each other but they never exchanged culture ideas. When Europeans came to trade, the Chinese gov. restricted them to coastal enclaves. The NewWord went to China to purchases of silk, porcelain, tea, and other products. By 1600 when the Dutch and British arrived the quality of Ming administration had weakened.

The Dominant economic force in the world economy between 1500 and 1776 was not the vigor of European exploration and trade but the richness of Asian markets that attracted them in the first place. The “pull” of the Chinese market attracted the “push” of the European merchants.

The Ottoman Empire was one of the few challenges to Western Europe in military and splendor, matching Europe piece for piece, if not better. Due to its vast size the Ottoman Empire influence Europe like none other before it. It all started with the Battle of Kosovo, in which "contact" occured between a European force, Russia, and the Ottoman Empire. After the defeat of the Russians, the Ottoman empire was free to expand into Europe without much resistance.

Despite all this fighting, many trade routes existed between the Ottoman empire and the rest of Europe. All in all, the interaction between Europe and the Ottomans wasn't always what one would call "beneficial", since both sides oftenfought each other in order to gain land and acquire a strong foothold..
