Reason why fast foods are dangerous
Too much sodium causes the body to retain water. Sodium also can contribute to existing high blood pressure or enlarged heart muscle. If someone have congestive heart failure or kidney disease, too much salt can contribute to dangerous buildup of fluid. Too much sodium may also increase the risk for kidney stones, kidney disease, and stomach cancer.
Added sugars have no nutritional value but are high in calories. According to the American Heart Association, most Americans take in twice as much sugar as is recommended for optimal health. All those extra calories add up to extra weight, which is a contributing factor for getting heart disease“And some kind of fast food contains too much sugar and calories which can cause cholesterol or diabetes cholesterol can lead to heart disease.”
Fast foods are often high in calories yet offer little or no nutritional value. One fast food meal can contain 1,500 calories, which is well over 50% of the daily calories required for a healthy adult. When fast food frequently replaces nutritious foods as a daily diet, it can lead to poor nutrition, poor health, and weight gain. Tests in lab animals have even shown a negative effect in short duration diets. Being overweight is a risk factor for a variety of health problems including heart attack, diabetes, and stroke
Arteries are the vessels that carry blood around the body. When the particular vessels that carry blood to the brain become blocked up, the likely result is a stroke. Having high cholesterol and high blood pressure are two major factors for artery blockage which is the reason for stroke
The risk of heart disease goes up as body weight increase. A heart attack is characterized by narrowing of the arteries. A heart attack occurs when a blood clot blocks one of the arteries of the heart. This prevents the flow of blood, cuts off the oxygen supply to the heart and damages or kills the heart cells. saturated and trans fats increase blood cholesterol and heart attack rates. Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats lower the risk of heart attacks. Eating too much salt raises blood pressure, another risk factor for heart attack (Renee). High blood pressure and obesity can cause other heart disease and heart attack too. And fast food contains all these things which can increase the risk of heart attack or cause heart disease. About 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year.
Sugar enters muscle and liver cells. If the sugar is not burned for energy to power the cells, it will first be stored inside the muscle and liver cells as glycogen. However, there is only a very small and limited amount of sugar that can be stored in cells. Once the cells are full of glycogen, all extra sugar is converted to a type of fat called triglycerides. Triglycerides fill up liver cells to cause a fatty liver. Having a fatty liver virtually guarantees that a person is diabetic or are becoming diabetic. Sugary foods, particular sugared beverages, also can cause a very high rise in blood sugar levels. High rises in blood sugar cause sugar to stick to the outer surface membranes of cells to destroy the cells. This damages cells in every part of the body to cause heart attacks, strokes, dementia, nerve damage, blindness, deafness, and the other effects of diabetes
In America, most of the death is caused by heart attack (29% death because of a heart attack.). Cancer is a second disease which leads to death , about 23% of the population die because of cancer. 7 % of the population got a stroke and die. Most of them got a stroke because of fast food. 3% of the population got diabetes and 2% got kidney disease and death the reason is fast food. 1 % of the population die because of high blood pressure and kidney disease. Fast food contains all those things which can easily cause these disease.More than 60% of these deaths are caused by fast food.
Food is fuel for the body. It can affect the body in many ways. Junk food or fast food isn’t necessarily bad, but it contains large amounts of carbohydrates, added sugar, unhealthy fats, and salt (sodium). It has an impact on how a person feels. Fast food can cause heart disease, high blood pressure, depression, diabetes, liver disease, digestive problems, cancer, stroke, kidney disease.
